Dojo introduction
In 1990, I renovated and opened a dōjō on the second floor of my home in Urasoe City. We have been renamed from Hankōnan-ryū, Kōnan-ryū, and to Uechi-ryū, and have taught a total of about 300 people to date.
The kobudō we teach is a lineage of Matayoshi kobudō and is now being practiced as the Okinawa kobudō Shuwakai. We put emphasis on kata of karate and kobudō and also teach applications (bunkai) of kata and prearranged kumite.

Training days Karate on Monday and Thursday 18：30～21：30 Kobudō on Friday 18：30～21：30 We can welcome 5-6 visiting trainees Saturday afternoon for special training session. We plan on accepting trainees from Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 16:00 from October 2022. |
