Dojo introduction
Thank you for visiting the Okinawa Meibukan Honbu dojo page.
My name is Ikemiyagi, Masaaki head director of the dojo.
Our dojo was established on July 1, 1980. Since then, we have accepted many international students,
Currently, we have branch dojos in Australia, USA, Russia, Italy, and India.
At the age of 23, I represented Okinawa Karatedo Gojukai in South America and was a pioneer in teaching karate overseas.
We teach the traditional Goju-ryu style of karate, which has been passed down from generation to generation, and we train a wide range of students from children to adults. We are happy to welcome all students, regardless of style/Ryuha to come and experience our Okinawa Traditional Karate.
We can respond to inquiries in English, French, German, Italian, Chinese, and Russian.
Our training is basically conducted in Japanese, but we have English-speaking students will assist you if deemed necessary.

Practice days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday Practice time: 19:30~21:00 Dojo opens around 18:30 for Maki-Wara and private practice. Number of students accepted for group practice: approximately 30 students per practice session. *Please contact us in advance to accommodate your request. |
