It is the headquarters dōjō of the Okinawa Karatedō Shōrin-ryū Shōrinkan Association in Aja, Naha City.
Nakazato Minoru teaches at the dōjō. Nakazato inherited from the founder, Nakazato Shūgorō. Our principle is to correctly teach the techniques included in each of the Shōrin-ryū's kata that originated in Shurite: "Naihanchi," "Pinan," "Passai," "Kusanku," and "Gojūshihō."
We cherish the basics, continuously add ingenuity, and put effort into the cultivation of a patient and polite person through training of karate. We also teach kobudō using weapons such as bō, sai, kama, nunchaku, eku, and tonfa.

Last year, due to the COVID-19, disciples from overseas could not come, but more than a hundred people come to Okinawa every year. We give guidance while coordinating that they do not overlap throughout the year, so it is impossible to accept any more disciples.
Furthermore, we have requests if we could proved guidance through video. We would like to accept more disciples once COVID-19 has ended.
