The karate that I learned from my father (third disciple of Master Shiroma Shinpan) is Shurite, which was practiced by the disciples in Shuri Sankamura (Akata, Sakiyama and Torihori).
Shurite was partially modified when it was incorporated into physical education at school. That is the current Shōrin-ryū.
My kata are the original style from the Shurite Sankamura era and are different from the current kata of Shōrin-ryū. While focusing on kata, we strive to cultivate the mind and body.
