**Thank you for visiting the page of Kobayashi-ryu Kyudokan Midorikawa Dojo.**
My name is Tetsuya Midorikawa, the head instructor of the dojo.

As a child, I admired Jackie Chan and began practicing full-contact karate at the age of 19, joining the Kyokushin Kaikan. After earning my first-degree black belt, I worked as an instructor.
In 2005, after moving to Okinawa, I began training in Kobayashi-ryu Kyudokan, starting again from the white belt.

As of 2025, Kobayashi-ryu Kyudokan celebrates its 70th anniversary. My teacher is Hanshi Minoru Higa, the 10th dan grandmaster and second-generation head of Kyudokan. I currently hold the rank of 6th dan, Renshi.

I have been teaching Kyudokan karate for about 15 years. Today, I instruct a diverse group of around 30 students, ranging from children to seniors, and I also offer private training sessions for international karate practitioners visiting from overseas.

Private lessons are available.
Lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese, with the help of a translation app for other languages.
